Mushak 6.3 explained: what every VAT invoice in Bangladesh must show
The fields NBR expects on a tax invoice, when you need the buyer’s BIN, and how to stay ready for the monthly return.
· 2 min read
Mushak 6.3 is the tax invoice a VAT-registered business gives for every taxable sale. It is also the paper trail behind your monthly return (Mushak 9.1), so mistakes here become problems at filing time.
What the invoice must show
When do you need the buyer's BIN?
For business-to-business sales. Without it, the buyer cannot claim input tax and may ask you to re-issue the invoice. Capture it at the counter, not later.
Credit and debit notes (Mushak 6.7 and 6.8)
When goods come back or the price changes after the invoice, you issue a credit note (6.7) or a debit note (6.8) instead of editing the original invoice.
Staying ready for the return
How Biznso helps
Biznso prints Mushak 6.3 on every receipt when you turn it on, asks for the buyer's BIN for company sales, creates 6.7 and 6.8 notes from returns, shows a VAT health score and a return calendar, and builds an audit pack (registers and invoices) in one click — free with the accounts module.
This guide is general information, not legal advice. Check the latest NBR rules or ask your VAT consultant for your case.
